I have seen servants on horseback but princes walking on foot just like servants.—Eccl. 10:7.

Few of us enjoy dealing with people who always insist on their own way and who refuse to accept suggestions from others. By contrast, we find it refreshing to deal with our fellow believers when they show “fellow feeling, brotherly affection, tender compassion, and humility.” (1 Pet. 3:8) If we are drawn to such people, they will likely be drawn to us—as long as we are humble. Humility also makes our life easier. Realistically, we may observe things in life that do not seem to be right or fair. Those who have great ability do not always receive recognition. And those with less ability sometimes receive more honor. Even so, Solomon acknowledged that it is wise for us to face reality rather than to be obsessed with negative circumstances. (Eccl. 6:9) If we are humble, we will find it easier to accept life as it is—not as we think it should be. w19.09 4-5 ¶9-10

You can't walk with God while holding hands with the Devil.

Someone sent this to me via whatsapp which seems relevant to today's text:

Here's an encouraging thought to share:

Jehovah God sees great things in us. In life there’re some people who walk and there are some who run. But just remember, God gave the tortoise and the horse the same number of days to reach Noah’s Ark. So in life there will be challenges, there’ll be ups, and there’ll be downs, but rest assured, we will reach our destination.

You know:
• Jacob saw in Joseph a fine son.
• The 10 brothers saw in Joseph a useless boy
• The travelers saw in Joseph a slave.
• And Potiphar saw in Joseph a fine servant.
• Potiphar’s wife saw in Joseph a potential boyfriend.
• And the prison guard saw in Joseph a prisoner.

But you know what? Every single one of them was wrong because Jehovah saw in Joseph a potential prime minister of Egypt in the waiting. So, be encouraged by what Jehovah God sees in you. It does not matter what people see in us. What matters is what God sees in us.
• It does not matter what your age is, that’s why He chose Abraham.
• It does not matter what your experience is, that’s why He chose David.
• It does not matter what your past is, that’s why He called Paul.
• It does not matter what your gender is, that’s why He lifted Esther.
• It does not matter what your appearance is, that’s why he chose Zacchaeus, the shortest one.
• It does not matter your fluency of speech, that’s why he chose Moses.
• It does not matter what your career is, that’s why he chose Rahab .

So just to remind us, that God sees great things in those who serve him, and we need to encourage each one with that thought, while reminding ourselves, the best is yet to come...” Love Never Fails I Cor 13:8.

Those with big humble hearts who are not afraid to show loving kindness tend to be happier and content in all they do. To put others on a pedestal or raise them higher than yourself or watch others shine bright brings a joy all of it's own. There is so much unbalance in this system. so when we remember it is all temporary and short lived, we don't have to let it affect us negatively.

The one showing favor to the lowly is lending to Jehovah

Please feel free to share it. I don't know who it originated from. It has probably been forwarded through many hands. :D

We all have a right to have an opinion and to share our opinions, but this is a good reminder of how we should form our opinions.
